It has been revealed that the remains of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, will be buried on Saturday.
The Head of Oyo Mesi, who is the Prime Minister of Oyo Kingdom, High Chief Yusuf Ayoola, said this while addressing journalists at the palace.
The Oyoprime minister said, “We have called the Imam. Baba will be buried today around 4pm.”
He confirmed that Oba Adeyemi died at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti on Friday night.
Ayoola added that the necesary rites of passage had been performed

Informed Palace source told Vanguard that the remains of the First Class monarch in Oyo State will be committed to mother earth today, April 23 at later day.
According to the palace source, who did not want his name in print because of the sensitiveness of the situation in the Alaafin’s palace, the late monarch’s remains will be taken to Baara, the final resting place of any Alaafin of Oyo who joined his ancestors.
