Niger-Delta lady makes Nigeria proud, gets commissioned as second lieutenant in US Marine

A lady, Ruth Inomina has joined the growing list of citizens making Nigeria proud internationally as she was recently commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps (USMC).

Justice O. Derefaka shared the story on LinkedIn calling on well-meaning Nigerians to join hands in congratulating the young lady from Niger-Delta.

In his LinkedIn post, Derefaka explained that the US Marine Corps is a branch of the United States Armed Forces responsible for conducting expeditionary and amphibious operations with the United States Navy as well as the Army and Air Force.

He said; “The U.S. Marine Corps is one of the eight uniformed services of the United States.”

In other news, comedian, Ayo Makun, also known as AY, has explained why he believes most Nigerian youths are lazy.

According to actor cum stand up act, the tragic situation of unemployment is a main causative factor of the laziness young Nigerians have been accused of being guilty of.

AY who stated that one’s situation sometimes determines one’s priorities, pointed out the unfortunate case of graduates finishing school but being unable to get a job or find a government that functions properly.

He wrote on Twitter;

“The laziness of most Nigerian youth is caused by the tragedy of unemployment. Nothing is more heart breaking than graduating with a good degree with no job to do, or finding yourself in a system of governance that doesn’t work. Your situation sometime determines your priorities.”
