…In a tragic twist, a yet-to-be-identified groom has died just hours to his wedding.
According to reports, he was driving home after making a last-minute cash withdrawal.
The incident happened just hours before his wedding in Oleh, Isoko South council area of Delta State.
- A source said the young man, who lived in Ozoro, opted to drive to neighboring Oleh to make his cash withdrawal rather than wait his turn at a crowded automated teller machine (ATM) point in Ozoro.
Hurrying home, the groom’s car skidded off the road and somersaulted, leaving him in grave danger.
He was rushed to hospital where he died, the source said, adding that bystanders helped themselves to naira notes strewn all over the crash scene.
The tragic incident happened in Odoh-Owambe II Community in Beebo Clan, Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State.
The Father Popular known as ‘The Tallest’ a village Hunter sent his son to his untimely grave following a quarrel on the morning of Friday, August 7th, 2020.
It was gathered that the son ‘Agbor Henry’ is the youth president of the community and his son from his late girlfriend, a policewoman who died in a road accident in Calabar some years back.
After his mother’s death, he returned to the village to his father whom he always claims never meets up with his responsibilities.
- According to an eye witness; the misunderstanding began when the Father had met his son drinking in a beer parlour and requested that his son ‘Agbor Henry’ buy him some drink, it was then his son asked him that ‘is it now you remember I’m your son? This resulted in a serious quarrel than made him wanted to fight his father.
