The perpetrator, Benjamin Adjei, attempted to execute the rituals with his 13-year-old nephew, Listowel Adjei, but was apprehended on his way to the shrine to do so.
On his way to the shrine with his nephew, Benjamin Adjei was arrested at the Abesim-Tano police barrier on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway after receiving a tip.
