The immediate past Commissioner for Special Duties in Akwa Ibom State, Rt Hon. Okpolupm Etteh has lauded The State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel who is the leader of the party in the State and the State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for Upholding the existing zoning arrangement in the State.

Etteh made this known to newsmen on Saturday, April 23, 2022, in Uyo, a day after the State Chapter of the Party announced a stand on zoning across the State’s three Senatorial Districts and ten Federal Constituencies.

The former Senior Honorary Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Duties appreciated the visionary leadership of the State Governor which he said has helped stabilized the State politically and economically, adding that his support to the party over the years in the State and country has seen it grown in leap and bound.

“Governor Udom Emmanuel has once again proven to the people of the State that he is the conscience of the People.
He must be commended for supporting the party towards ensuring that the existing zoning structure that has led to the rapid development of the State isn’t truncated”, he said.

While acknowledging the giant stride and achievements of the Governor, the former State House Member urged elected office holders from other States of the country to adopt the leadership model of Governor Emmanuel.

He further stated that ;
“Governor Emmanuel is blessed with excellent divine wisdom which is backed by his Christian faith and love for God and humanity; This is why his administration is continually making steady progress, despite the dwelling economic situation in our country.

“His Excellency the Governor has also not closed his eyes to the internal politics of his party despite his very tight and challenging schedules, he has supported and has favoured the three senatorial districts, ten Federal Constituencies in its zoning arrangement for political office seekers”.
