Is Rema Bigger Than Davido And Olamide Now? (SEE THIS!!)

Rema Davido Olamide

Seems Rema is Now Bigger than Davido And Olamide Combine.

Rema’s debut album, “Rave & Roses” just surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify.
The 100 million mark on Spotify is one feat that belongs to only the best and biggest artists in the country. That’s why it’s not every day new artists are garnering one hundred million on Spotify.

Besides this being a most impressive number for Rema, what’s even more surprising is how it is only the third album from this decade to cross that mark. The only other two albums to achieve this are “Made in Lagos” and “Twice As Tall.”

That is to say, every other album that has been released since the start of this decade in 2020 has below 100 million streams on Spotify. Yes, that includes Davido’s “A Better Time,” Tiwa Savage’s “Celia,” and even Olamide’s most-hyped album, “Carpe Diem.”

Also, consider that these other albums were released almost two years ago and Rema’s “Rave & Roses” is only a couple of months old. That’s just crazy.

I mean, we always knew Rema was going places and that he was going to do numbers. But yeah, this is huge for him. 100 million streams on Spotify in a few months is not for kids at all.

The main reason why it’s so impressive is because Spotify is not a widely-used platform in Africa, and most of its users are in America and Europe.

I must say, it is quite disappointing that albums like Davido’s third studio album, “A Better Time” haven’t been able to rack up 100 million streams on the popular streaming platform. That’s even though the albums are two years old. That’s quite poor.

Either Davido and Olamide are not as big outside the country as Rema. Or their albums are just not good enough. I don’t wanna believe the latter. So I guess I’ll just go with the fact that Rema is bigger than both of them. Numbers don’t lie!
