So guys I decided to make a thread about what could be the intention of keeping long finger nails by a male gender.
Shout our to the ladies out there who fix nails artificially, I feel there’s so much inconveniences when doing a day-to-day activities like washing, cooking, eating or even when trying to grab a small object, the finger nails are always going to cause drawbacks. It is also very difficult to keep them trimmed since their skin needs time to recover and you need to apply several coats of polish twice daily. Also if they get wet inside your shoes on hard surfaces that would result in discoloration which can take months to fade (this wasn’t my experience but others have had it).
Historically, having long finger nails are connected with being upper level as well as signs of a man’s wealth and refinement (that’s for the white man) which such belief isn’t applied to all tribes or norms. In my culture, a person who carries long finger is believed to be either a witch or witchcraft, because they uses it to Fly at Night.
Some years ago, I enjoyed leaving my nails to grow long and big since it look Cute for me when i see them on someone, but as a computer operator and writer, typing texts in my phone became a problem and also takes longer, to some point, I pulled a razor blade and got rid of it. Moreover, I discovered that its not a good personal hygiene practice keeping longer nails.
Disadvantages of Keeping Longer Finger Nails
Generally, Fingernails should be kept as short as possible, and the outsides should be washed with soap and water on a regular basis. Longer fingernails can hold more dirt, Using your hands to eat food when you have long nails can allow bacteria and other infectious agents to enter your system, thus leading to the risks of disease.
If you prefer long nails, Ensure any type manicure involves not just making every single cut or mark yourself “that will look nice” also note that artificial nails are prone to infection if worn too long. But I Feel Your hands and feet would become useless if you intend keeping long nails because their sole actual purpose would be to act as passageways for the growth of your nails. It makes one Lazy!.
I know girls are bound keep or fix longer nails so as to look beautiful for those guys out thereabouts or their boyfriends.
