How Nigerian Athlete, Adegoke Overtook Fastest Man In The World At Tokyo Olympics

Nigeria’s athlete, Enoch Adegoke on Saturday happened to defeats 2021 fastest man in the world at the men’s 100-meter sporting event that took place at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic




Adegoke ran 9.98 seconds in the men’s 100 meters to beat Brommel, who tops the pre-Games world list with the 9.77 seconds he ran last month in Florida, USA, and qualified for the semifinals on Sunday.




Enoch Obaloluwa Adegoke is a Nigerian sprinter. He competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in both the 100 metres and the 4×100 metres relay.




Adegoke who ran on lane 6 of round 2 of the Olympic Stadium in the first round of the event defeated Femi Ogunode, who represented Qatar and arrived in 10.02.




Following his victory in the tournament, the 21-year-old Adegoke was enrolled to into the semi-final by his compatriot Usheoritse Itsekiri who ran 10.15 seconds to place third in Round 1.




Adegoke will advance to the second semi-final, while Itsekiri will advance to the first semi-final on Sunday.




Their teammate, Divine Oduduru, however, was evicted in the game after he loosed at the beginning of Round 5.
