Four members of armed robbery gang arrested in Bayelsa

 

 

 

The Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested four members of a suspected armed robbery gang.

SWAT operatives of the command, on a tip-off raided a criminal hideout at Ebisam Road, Yenagoa and arrested the suspects who were allegedly planning to launch attack at an unknown location.

The suspects are, Prefateyah Francis, 30, Job Molo Edward, 41, Barine Nwinee,41, and Edho Kingsley, 44.

Spokesperson of the command, Asinim Butswat, who confirmed the arrest in a statement on Wednesday, July 7, said a Barretta pistol was recovered from Prefateyah Francis during the raid.

“They have volunteered useful information, the suspects will be charged to court at the conclusion of Investigation,” Butswat stated.

“The Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State Command CP Mike Okoli fsi, calls for continued support from members of the public to enable Police to succeed in the arduous task of fighting crime.” he added.
