Egypt Overtakes South Africa As Nigeria Remains Among Top List

Africa has recorded over 7,000 deaths due to complications arising from COVID-19.
According to the latest number released by the World Health Organization, WHO, regional office for Africa in Brazzaville, Congo, there are 7098 deaths recorded on the continent.

Africa has also recorded over 265,000 COVID-19 cases and 122,000 recoveries in 54 countries.

As of Thursday morning, Nigeria has recorded 469 reported deaths, fifth-highest on the continent.

Egypt is now ahead of South Africa, with 1, 766 deaths, the highest on the continent.

South Africa has 1, 674 deaths, followed by Algeria (799 deaths) and Sudan (477 deaths) .
