CAR 0-2 LIV: Reds maintain the title chase with a win

Liverpool defeated Cardiff 2-0 at the Cardiff City Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday to keep the title chase alive with Manchester City, Georginio Wijnaldum and James Milner fired Liverpool to the victory.

A clear opportunity landed in the front of Firmino but the Brazilian attacker played the ball over the bar after a defence-splitting pass from the Liverpool midfielder.The away team continued to find a way to beat the defence line of Cardiff as the home team defence remain impregnable in the opening 30 minutes of the clash.

Mohamed Salah failed to score after he was set free from the midfield to a one on one situation with a Cardiff defender.Liverpool had much of the ball to wreak havoc on the defence of the home team but they have been poor in the attack in the opening 40 minutes of the game.

Niasse almost got the opening goal but Alisson Becker was on point to make a save to deny the home team from going ahead.The first half ended 0-0Liverpool stepped up their game in the second half as Georginio Wijnaldum in the 56th minute to put The Reds ahead. Liverpool aims to score more goals.

Liverpool made it 2-0 in the 80th minute after Mohamed Salah was fouled in the box, James Milner made no mistake to convert from the spot kick to double the Reds lead.
