ASUU resumes indefinite strike

Today, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Taraba State University chapter, started an indefinite strike.

The school’s ASUU chairman, Dr Samuel Shikaa, says that the aggrieved lecturers went on strike in 2018 but suspended it when the Taraba state government promised to meet its demands which included the payment of earned academic allowances from 2014 till date, and the provision of required infrastructure to enhance teaching and learning.

He said the state government has not fulfilled their promises, their reason for going on strike.
