Ancelotti commends two players after Real Madrid defeats Atletico Madrid
Following their 2-1 victory over Atletico Madrid on Sunday, Rodrygo and Federico Valverde received glowing plaudits from Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti.
The two players scored for Los Blancos as they made it nine wins from nine matches in all competitions.
Of his two goalscorers, Ancelotti said after the match:
“Both of them are very very special players, because they are what a modern footballer has to be now.
“A player who can play in different positions, who has something special in their technique, their physique, who stands out.
“We’re all delighted that they’re doing very well.”
The win saw Real restore their two-point lead over Barcelona and maintain their perfect start in LaLiga.
